AnglersMate.co.uk is an online fishing marketplace for thousands of fishing related products and services.

AnglersMate.co.uk were starting from scratch and had no previous branding or website. They opted for a complete web solution, which was tailored to their specific requirements. This included branding, website design, bespoke .Net development, hosting, domains and support.

Due to the nature of the site, the project was split into phases. For phase 1, a simplified version of the site was created, enabling the site to be populated whilst live. Once phase 2 begins, the final design will be applied to the site and AnglersMate.co.uk will begin the marketing process.

The site includes an extensive search which required bespoke .Net development. This search enables the user to find products by category and will return the results in order of relevance. By registering with the site users can choose to be notified via email of relevant and saved searches. They can also request to be notified of any special offers.

Advertisers can sign up to the site, enabling products to be retrieved from their site and displayed on AnglersMate.co.uk.

Keyword and meta tag descriptions were embedded in the site to enable the major search engines to find the products listed.

It was also a requirement that the site had to meet W3C and Web accessibility guidelines where possible.
